See what is in man

But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.“1

God’s been allowing some painful “knowing” to pass my way. I think it has to do with being a ‘man’ now… where once people would refrain from taking off their ‘nice’ mask because I was a child, they now openly expose their face.2

I think of Jesus. He not only heard and saw all the evil in this world, but at all times penetrates into the inner depths of a man’s soul and sees ALL. A brother once received a gift of the Holy Spirit where he “knew what was in man.” Each person he could literally see the evil resting: lust, lies, greed, hatred, etc. It was too much for him to bear and he–in retrospect hastily–asked God to take that operation of the spirit away. God did. A sister experienced such grief in her heart when looking upon the unsaved that she turned to wearing a dark veil.

It’s not all fun in games: a Man of deep sorrows–we his brothers and sisters conform to His image.

  2. I once played that game as well; it’s only Jesus that cleaned me out good on the inside. []
