Go ahead and make your abode the "Word of God" ie. Jesus Christ. Pull back from all the needless activities: dinners out, lunches out, hanging out, silly talk, jokes and parties. Get alone with Him.

Then don't only acknowledge, but (painfully, the flesh will hate to die) surrender to Him and be obedient to Him. Be sober, be fervent, and be zealous for this one desire: To know JESUS (and His Dad), and who you are in relationship to Him.

Man that is a great passage....it echoes alot of what God has been teaching me lately...but how imperfect I am in pursuing God, and how often do I use his Word simply as a self help book....but instead of despairing in that imperfection, I take hope in the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit in my life, that God will teach me how to rightly pursue his glory and his Son....also, the realization that it is almost a means by which we give God glory when we simply acknowledge that we don't know, that we may never know, but we have faith that God knows all things fully and rightly, and that is enough. Because in this simple act we are denying our fallen human nature and fallen desire to know all that God does....it is such a beautiful thing that God has supplied for us all we need through his Word. Through study of it, alongside prayer and meditation, the Holy Spirit is faithful to sanctify and grow....His blessings will come, as promised, to all who believe and they are very good, but when they become our motive we focus on the supply and not the supplier....may our motive always be God's glory, first and foremost...
